PickGuideLumibricks Manga Shop Review: 1987-Piece Cyberpunk Build with 17 LED Lights at $120
The Lumibricks Manga Shop is the kind of building set that looks spectacular on any desk or shelf — by day a meticulously detailed Japanese storefront, by night a blazing cyberpunk neon district brought to life by 17 integrated LED lights.
The Lumibricks Manga Shop (set 17015) is a 1987-piece building set from Lumibricks' Cyberpunk Collection that merges two distinct aesthetics into one showpiece: traditional Japanese architecture (tiled roofs, wooden lattice windows, neon torii) and futuristic cyberpunk design (holographic signs, exposed pipes, glowing MANGA neon signage, rooftop mech elements). The build ships with 17 LED lights that blend blue, purple, red, green, yellow, and warm white tones — making it one of the most visually striking illuminated building sets in the category. The first floor recreates an authentic manga shop with a browsing aisle, bargain rack, and removable book selection area that transforms it from a static display into an interactive model. Upper floors expand the cyberpunk world with additional character details and mechanical accents. At $119.99, it includes 1699 building blocks, 9 brick bags, 81 printed bricks, 17 LED lights, and 2 clear assembly instruction manuals. It also connects and shares power with the Lumibricks Micro Izakaya to create a combined neon streetscape.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Manga Shop connect with other Lumibricks sets?
Yes. It is designed to connect with the Micro Izakaya set and can share power, allowing multiple sets to light up together as a combined neon streetscape.
Are the LED lights battery-powered or USB?
Lumibricks LED systems typically support USB power via an included controller hub. Check the current product listing for the specific power configuration of this set.
How difficult is the build at 1987 pieces?
Intermediate to advanced. Two clear illustrated instruction manuals guide you through the process, but at nearly 2000 pieces it's a multi-session build rather than a single sitting.
Are there stickers, or are all details printed?
81 bricks are printed directly – no stickers needed for the key signage and manga elements, which improves long-term display quality.
Is this compatible with standard LEGO bricks?
Lumibricks uses standard LEGO-compatible stud sizing, so most bricks are technically compatible, though the LED system is proprietary to Lumibricks.
Verdict
The Lumibricks Manga Shop is an exceptional illuminated building set that earns its $119.99 price tag through sheer visual impact and detail density. The 17 LEDs and 81 printed bricks set it well apart from standard brick sets, and its cyberpunk-meets-Japan concept is genuinely unique in the building set market. If you're looking for a desk centerpiece that draws attention day or night, this is one of the best options Lumibricks has produced.
